Upgrade Note - Mobile Connect
If you are upgrading from Orchestra version 5.4 to Orchestra version 6.1, or later and have made changes to the Mobile Connect language properties files, connect.properties and connectCounter.properties, you need to manually add these changes, to the Orchestra 6.1 properties files, connectMessages.properties and connectCounterMessages.properties, after the upgrade.
Simply renaming your old, changed files to
connectMessages.properties and
connectCounterMessages.properties is not a good enough solution, because strings may have been added or deleted in the files since Orchestra 5.4. Also, if you added language specific properties files in Orchestra 5.4, do the following: copy the default new files, connectMessages.properties and connectCounterMessages.properties, add a language code suffix to them, for example *_fr then translate the contents again, after upgrading to Orchestra 6.1.
Here too, it is not a good idea to simply rename the old files, since strings may have been added or deleted.
Make sure that you translate any strings in the new files that have not yet been translated, if applicable.
When upgrading from 5.4 and using Mobile Connect applications with old names, you may get error messages in the log saying “
Custom application encountered which has not been deployed”. Note that these messages can be ignored, there is
no need to manually deploy your applications!
